Review of Downfall (2004) by Bryce F — 09 Jan 2012
Bruno Ganz lights up the screen as Hitler and Alexandra Maria Lara's presence as his secretary is tender and subtle. This feels extremely realistic; the portrayals of the characters and their reactions to the forthcoming end of war are unflinching.
Can be tough to watch, but not due to the direction and the filmmaking.
