Review of Downfall (2004) by Alexander K — 06 Jun 2013
Downfall might be a little long, but it's nearly impossible to cover a subject of such intricateness as this without going a little into overtime. All the actors give incredible performances, with a lead who looks more like Hitler than Hitler.
Credit also has to be given to the supporting cast, especially Juliane Kohler as Eva Braun, whose sociopathic smiling and laughing while committing suicide is enough to keep you up at night. This film is on par with Schindler's List when it comes to unbridled scariness.
Oh, and SPOILER! Hitler dies.
