Review of Downfall (1997) by Rodney H — 30 Mar 2010
Ever thought you'd be captivated by Hitler's last days? This film about the final days before the Russians march into Berlin is well-crafted and centers on a leader of a nation that finds himself isolated.
His generals and closest advisers have all been disloyal as they can see he is out of control. This view does not excuse or try to explain Hitler's actions but honestly shows a man coming to terms with his life's choices and his ideals--even if it will mean death.
