Review of Downfall (1997) by John M — 27 Oct 2010
An uncommon angle to look at the closing few days of the war in Europe. It also features Hitler shown in a way I've never seen before as a desperate and defeated often insane man as all around him crumbles.
Obviously dramatised to some degree for cinema but never the less powerful because of it's basis in fact. I wouldn't say this was an enjoyable or fun film to watch but it was certainly memorable and a great piece.
