Review of Downfall (1997) by Todd B — 19 Aug 2011
I don't know how I had missed this incredible and gripping film about the last days of Hitler's life in the Berlin bunker. The performance by Bruno Ganz alone makes the film worth watching, but the use of one location for filming, the writing and the suspenseful narrative were masterful and informed me about a fascinating ten days of western history.
Best Foreign Lang. Film nominee.
