Review of Down with Love (2003) by Patrick L — 01 May 2013
A great, if not perfect, film with music, comedy and romance. Renee is stylish (if a bit silly looking with the turban? on) and sexy, with a "come on" expression and pout. Ewan is something of a lout that one gradually warms up to while David Hyde Pierce seems to be expressing a similar character to that he played on Frasier.
Essentially a film about women trying to progress in the business world and to be able to have sex without love (as they seem to think men do), Barbara creates a personna, writes a book and works to entrap Catcher Block and ultimately she succeeds.
8/10.
