Review of Down with Love (2003) by Leonardo - Malacay - S — 31 Dec 2008
Hypter-stylized, self-reflexive reinvention of early 1960s New York as filtered through a contemporary perspective, with plenty of "wow" fashions and interiors and "cute" contrived plot twists characteristic of the romantic comedies of that time.
If you like this type of thing, you'll probably rate it more highly than I did; on the other hand, if you hate this type of thing, you'll probably trash it. If you're like me and you get cornered into watching it, keep an open mind and there will be enough to enjoy!
