Review of Down with Love (2003) by Bobby L — 09 Jun 2010
Playing off the typical 60s battle of the sex comedy tropes, this sure packs the laugh. Renee Zwellger, in one of a very few performances I like her in, is good her. She keeps up with the look and pace of the film. As "ladies man, man's man, and man about town" Ewan McGregor displays his considerable talents, and proves why he was one of the only solid things about the SW prequels- he's got soo much talent it oozes off of him, and here he's as smarmy and likable as ever.
The artificial look and editing make for some nice visual gags, and the movie never looses steam.
