Review of Down in the Valley (2005) by Paul N — 16 Sep 2007
Another masterful performance by Norton and brilliant work from Wood, Morse and Culkin - along with some evocative, dusty visuals - hold the attention longer than the pot-boiling plot, which loses momentum in reaching its slightly unsatisfying conclusion.
Treads similar ground to "Lawn Dogs" and "A Room for Romeo Brass", but with a slightly satirical slant on the romantic American fantasy of the "Western".
