Review of Down in the Valley (2005) by James K — 22 Oct 2007
I really liked this film. Edward Norton did an amazing job playing intense and screwed up Harlan that at times he really scared me a lot, yet he could still be the sweet charismatic cowboy at other times.
Rory Culkin did a good job at the brother but as always I didn't really like Evan Rachel Wood. I don't know what it is about her, but there's just something about her that I don't like.
Anyway, she was still ok so it didn't matter that much. The storyline was minimal yet very exciting and suspenseful and it kept me longing for more and thinking mostly about Edward Norton's character.
All in all a great movie.
