Review of Down in the Valley (2005) by Private U — 19 Sep 2008
This is a touching story of a deluded modern day cowboy who courts a young girl. The imagery is fantastic, and the family dynamics are raw and real. The best part is that this movie is split into two stories: the enigmatic blind young love story that becomes obbssesive, and how a man tries to save a lost boy when he himself is out of control.
Tragedy brings this tumultuous house hold to some sense of peace. Ed Norton is amazing as he portrays a man slowing losing himself and his sanity.
