Review of Down in the Valley (1984) by Adam C — 06 Jul 2007
For the most part, this film absolutely worked for me. Norton does what he does best and that is proving why he is such a brilliant character actor who embodies every role that he plays. At the same time, this film really makes you think about what kind of role fantasy plays in your life, as this is really a character study of the Harlan character and of Tobe's family as one is trying to cope with growing up, and the other is caught in his fantasy world that it takes him on the brink of insanity.
