Pretty great. The characters are original and memorable with especially great performances by Roberto Benigni and Tom Waits. There are some really great, amusing scenes accentuated by the cinematography.
There are a lot of loose ends but on the whole, this is an existential film that goes to all the right places and ends on the perfect note.
