Review of Doubt (2008) by Raj G — 31 Jan 2012
An Acting feast!!!! People like me live on these. Initially slow but holding you effectively, rises on it's acting. Everyone acted extraordinarily as expected of them, but special mention to Viola Davis, initially subtle but sublime and later powerful winning stroke of acting.
For the people of Streep clan like me, absolute strong performance by Meryl as always. A very gripping script, shows how can you make a film or even a play out of scratch. With this story, which you can narrate in one line, without this acting, it'd have been a disaster.
You also begin to believe the priest is the convict (without proof!!). And then you doubt in the end.The movie equipped with these, makes you a 'doubting nun' in the end.
