You can feel the doubt at the same time as the characters, but at the end, you really don't know what was the truth.
This is something that a lot of times, we also do in real life. Sometimes, a little thing trigger a wild thought, and there's no way to get rid of it; so, you're not sure, but you can't help doubt it.
