Review of Doubt (2003) by Luke R — 31 Dec 2012
The film gets off to a slow start and it is very tempting to switch it off in the first thirty minutes, to do so however would be a mistake. Streep and Hoffman do this story justice where most actors would have been unable to carry it off.
This film proves that subtlety is not beyond the American motion-picture mindset. This was a difficult novel to adapt to the screen but it has been done very well.
