Review of Double Team (1997) by Daniel D — 03 Apr 2010
A totally flawed film, but that one that still contains an abundance of Tsui Hark's remarkable energy and his ability to capture kinetic energy with the camera. Far more exciting and vibrant than many Western action films from the era.
I was also reminded about how much more exciting action films were before bullet-time and extreme slo-mo. The film is stupid, incomprehensible, exciting, fun, and totally entertaining.
