(1999) Double Jeopardy.
ACTION/ SUSPENSE.
Actress Ashley Judd stars as Libby, a woman whose been convicted of a crime of her husband's death and then once released, sought out to find the truth, and of course finds out that her husband is still alive- hense the title of the film whom her husband faked his death for the purpose of money.
What this is, is basically the female version on a different take capitalizing on "The Fugitive" genre because it was a financial success with the Ashley Judd character replacing the Harrsion Ford role dodging from Tommy Lee Jones reprising his role again but as Travis this time. It's not bad especially to the emotional touches which was somewhat lacking on other chase films, but like "The Fugitive" in 1993 the ending is somewhat unmemorable to say the least! This film does get brownie points for showcasing physical action sequences without any CGI or use of green screen!
3 out of 4.
