Review of Double Indemnity (1973) by Ben M — 20 Mar 2010
A very impressive film-noir. Some Like It Hot is one of my favourite films and I was expecting a lot from this. I was mostly impressed, the story is not what I expected at all, a simple case of insurance fraud ends up in murder as the carefully planned scheme unravels before the eyes of MacMurray, great performances from pretty much all involved although I think Edward G.
Robinson stands out as Keyes. Still not entirely sure about some plot points, I was expecting the daughter to be incriminated along with her boyfriend, maybe I'm seeing too much into it perhaps, all in all, worth a watch.
