Review of Double Indemnity (1973) by Ashley S — 21 Jun 2010
Considered one of the greatest and first film noirs. If you like dark and twisted stories of lust and greed, then this is for you. The script is wonderful and full of dark and sharp lines, great cast - the atypical character Edward G.
Robinson plays proves he could do more than gangsters, very well. Full of contrast with stark shadows and smokey light - it fits the noir visual style along with it's story. A must see for noir enthusiasts and film buffs.
One of the classics.
