Review of Double Indemnity (1973) by Dave L — 22 May 2011
Widely considered one of the greatest movies of all time and hugely influential in the film noir genre. Fred MacMurray is an insurance rep who allows himself to be talked into a murder/insurance fraud scheme by a femme fatale played by Barbar Stanwyck.
The movie builds suspense, sometimes in very subtle ways. It is absolutely fantastic.
