Review of Dororo (2007) by Tim R — 02 Jun 2010
The concept of Dororo sound like fun, a man must destroy 48 demons to reclaim the body parts his father sold away in order to obtain great power. It's to bad that the film gets dragged down by cheap CG based fights, that are borderline comically bad but mostly just boring, and an over abundance of melodrama.
The actors are fine, particularly Kô Shibasaki who plays a female thief who carries herself like a man and channels the macho samurai spirit very well.
