Review of Dora and the Lost City of Gold (2019) by Martynjones — 05 Sep 2019
This movie has come as a pleasant surprise towards the end of the summer. The surprise is just how good the film actually is. With its self aware humour and not taking itself to seriously. There are enough call backs to the original cartoon. Dora's fourth wall breaks with Isabela Moner earnestly addressing the audience with "can you say extreme neurotoxicity".
All in all its a delight from start to finish. Isabela Moner is charming as Dora. I would hope to see more of her as Dora in a future sequel.
