Holly Gooding (Drew Barrymore) arrives in Los Angeles hoping to escape her nightmare. She is being stalked by a creature that looks and talks just like her - a creature that brutally stabbed her mother to death.

But this creature is not her. It is her doppelganger - her evil alter ego - whose only emotion is hate and whose only desire is to destroy her.

Then she meets the man of her dreams, but has he fallen in love with Holly or her doppelganger?
