A sweet, quirky, and hilarious indie gem about three high school geeks trying to go gangsta. Trust me, DOPE doesn't go down the formulaic path you might expect from an average teen drama. It goes deeper than that.
Kudos to Rick Famuyiwa for his energetic directing and insightful script, coming up with an original and witty story full of laughs and realism and 90's music (the soundtrack is one of the best of the year.
) And a huge applause to its magnetic lead actors for their electrifying performances. DOPE is vibrant and an exhilarating ride.
