Review of Dope (2015) by Leland K — 03 Nov 2015
I saw this movie on my plane ride to Paris. For the first hour of the movie, I was enthralled from the brilliant performance by Shameik Moore as a kid struggling in school who loves early 90s hip hop. Oh yeah, the soundtrack made me overjoyed.
The film, however, stalls at one point due to the title of "Don't Do Drugs" to succeed in life. Still, the movie is worthy thanks to its humor, music, and message.
