Neil Marshall has proven that the action movie is alive and well. Yes, Doomsday is not The Descent, but Doomsday is exactly what Resident Evil, 28 Days Later, and any lame video game adaptation should have been.
Finally, a director delivers a movie that deserves a strong R rating. Paul W.S. Anderson and Uwe Bowl only wish they had the talent of Marshall.
