Combines features from other movies into it's own mash-up of genre and time periods. Cannibals, gladiators and car chases, action, sci-fi and horror, it's quite a combination "Most fantasy-action films blow their budgets in the first half-hour, and limp home with their makeup smeared.
Doomsday is unusually patient, smartly saving most of its fireworks for the later innings." Though hokey and scored poorly at times, it's mostly incredibly satisfying. Great to see former Lara Croft model Mitra cast as lead.
She should team up with Gina Carano.
