Review of Doomsday (2008) by Martyn T — 22 Aug 2010
If this was actually made in the 80's it would have a much higher score from everyone.
It is a British movie made with a love of Escape from Mad Max. And is easily comparible to them, when you watch these films it is with affection and you don't care about the sillyness and plot holes. In fact that is why you watch them. This film is the same and should be treated as such (with affection).
This sort of thing isn't made much any more, and those that are tend to be appallingly bad. This is good and actually well made for this style of film It is the long lost British 80's action fil and Rhona Mitra plays a great Snake Plisskin.
