Doom is many things, but a good movie is not one of them. The premise is interesting and Karl Urban's performance can't be beat, but nothing else about the film is impressive. There is absolutely no attempt to pay homage to the games and this improvised movie version is not enjoyable at all.
It would be a whole lot better to just go and sit in the closet all day and do nothing than to watch this movie.
