Review of Doom (2005) by Andy W — 18 Nov 2009
Yet another one of those films aimed at 'fan boys' who feel clever because they pay homage to the likes of Predator and Aliens - stealing bits from classic movies does not make your movie good! The marines sent to save the day are possibly the least convincing soldiers seen in any movie.
It all has a very cheap air to it, as if someone thought the name 'Doom' alone was enough for it to be a great movie. Its not. Poor script, poor direction, poor acting, poor characters... the list is endless.
Any film that makes Resident Evil look like it was made by Hitchcock must be bad.
