Review of Doom (2005) by Richard R — 12 Jun 2014
There was nothing too bad about Doom. It wasn't the greatest sci-fi outing (and not scary in the slightest) but it wasn't the worst. The storyline was fairly basic, the characters stereotypes and wooden and the monsters too indiscriminate to stand out.
But as an entertaining popcorn movie the film does what it says on the tin - and does it well - it entertains. Bonus points go to the first-person sequence which shows it doesn't take itself too seriously.
