Review of Doom (2005) by Ole J — 25 Aug 2009

This has some obvious good and bad things about it, I didn't have any expectations to it other then it would be fun to see, after playing the game many years ago, well maybe this could be a cool and fun experience.

There are a few things this has going for it, the effects are great at most times, the scenery and surroundings are also very good an convincing and the acting is actually descent for all parts.

Well then to the bad part, this movie is always very dark in the scenes where the monsters appear, if its to hide the bad making of the monsters or just to make it more exciting and creepy when they jump out of nowhere I don't know, but I didn't like it.

Some of the monsters where allright, like the little "dog" with a pair of wheels on its behind. The people that are transformed are also very well made.

I found the last part of the movie, where it really turns into Doom the game, is the most fun, its not that long but it brings back memories.

Its not a great movie, its fun and have good action and good effect scenes, so if thats what you are going for its okay.
