Review of Don't Think Twice (2016) by Aïko G — 11 Dec 2016
Don't think twice is unique in the fact that it is a comedy about the life of comedians. It has bits of drama, good laughs, love, anxiety and much more. Together, these bits make for a special mix that attracts and entertains.
We see a group of comedians who form a small improvisation band that give performances in backroom theaters. All the people in this group have very strong bonds with each other, being best friends or even lovers.
But it isn't all fun and games, they all aspire to achieve greater things. When one of them gets his chance for greatness the rest is left behind thinking about their comedy careers thus far. This separation in the group creates tensions and ultimately confrontations.
The jokes in Don't think twice didn't always make me laugh, but the unique story and great acting made this a movie I watched with great pleasure.
