Review of Don't Think Twice (2016) by Jason K — 20 Jan 2017
There are 2 sides to this review: 1. the film itself= not very good. Writing, directing, editing, characters, etc- just fall flat and feel like a straight outta college film student film w forced emotional arcs that dont really work and characters that are over wrote to give screentime and unneeded backgrounds.
2. my history= for alot of reasons (both in the film and the making of the film bts) this is alot of my background, my story, and my former/current/maybe always life. In that aspect the biggest thing this movie did for me is put into another perspective as to why im always trying to work with others even though I can do things on my own= and I think its because of my improv background and the desire to create with other people rather then develop the ego needed to do things completely for myself/by myself.
Its hard as I think there is nearing a point where I need to make that choice once and for all and either develop a new group of people or journey out there completely on my own and work for others. I'm still deciding I feel, and the bts gave me some good thoughts and facts to base that on.
