Review of Don't Think Twice (2016) by Knarf L — 14 Aug 2016
I was pretty darn disappointed by this. I liked "Sleepwalk with Me," and most of Birgbiglia's pieces on This American Life. I even heard an interview with Mike before seeing the movie, but it just wasn't very funny! for a movie about comedy and improv, one would think the humor would be better. But really it's more about relationships and this weird comroderie in failure and some weird ideal of living in the moment, that they don't seem to even embody, but desperately cling to.
I don't usually write reviews, but having to hear NPR toting this as the best thing since sliced bread after every podcast is offensive and annoying! Gotta believe there is some shenanigans behind the scenes to get the rating up to 99% for a mediocre movie...
