Don't Say A Word is a decent thriller starring Michael Douglas as a renowned psychiatrist whose daughter is kidnapped by a gang. In order to get his daughter back he must convince one of his disturbed patients to tell him a number she has locked in her head. Plenty of double crosses happen as Douglas tries to outwit the gang run by the perennial bad guy Sean Bean.

There is nothing new to be seen here, it's your typical by the numbers Hollywood thriller, but it has a fast pace, plenty of action and a decent cast which all amounts to entertaining film. At nearly two hours it's a little too long and Sean Beans character is your typical cardboard cut out bad guy but Douglas is very believable as a psychiatrist and the late Brittany Murphy puts in a great performance as the disturbed girl. It's all very predictable but nonetheless it's an entertaining turn your brain off romp.
