Saw this movie last night and have not been able to stop thinking about it ever since. It is brilliantly scripted and shot. I frankly had no idea that Penelop Cruz had it in her to deliver such a performance.
You haven't seen a movie about a passionate obsessive love affair until you've seen this one. I loved it and I plan on looking up all of Castellitto's other work. I'm not sure how this one made it past the Oscars.
Find it and watch it. One tip: watch it in Italian with subtitles. No voice overs/translations.
