Review of Don't Look Now (1973) by Tico P — 15 Nov 2007
A 70's classic psychological horror film that works nicely. Unlike most of the shit coming out these days, there are no gore or stupid special effects , leaving the whole matter to the mind.
A married couple move to Venice after the tragic death of their daughter. Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie play the parents, and director Nicolas Roeg got into a lot of censorship troubes do to their expicit sex scenes.
The outstanding cinematography , superb location shots of Venice and eerie music make this a fasinating awarding film.
Ever since seeing this years ago, I'v been afraid of red raincoats and staircases, but I'm not telling why ...
