Review of Don't Look Now (1973) by Cal ( — 04 Jan 2011
Beautifully filmed and acted..
One of thise films that I can watch over and over. The wonderfully creepy tone, the fantastic use of music and the teaming of Sutherland and Christie who deliver perfect performances. Nic Roeg has made a stellar film about loss that has really stood the test of time...
What really stands out however is the editing. From the opening scenes at the family home cutting between the garden and the house to the closing sequences which are both horrifying and beautiful at the same time.
Excellent stuff....
