This terrifying and effective horror film came out in the same summer with the (comparatively) loud and crude Exorcist, and so didn't get the rpaise and attention it deserved. Just superb stuff -- I walked out of the theatre onto a NYC street, saw a kid in a red raincoat, nearly lost my socks.
