Review of Don't Look Now (1973) by Bp D — 31 Jul 2010
If you liked 'Rosemary's Baby' or 'The Sixth Sense', a super-chilling and gripping psychological thriller/drama horror, you definitely would be loving this 1973's classic masterwork by Nicolas Roeg, Don't Look Now.
It has become one of my all time favourite ever since I watched it a year ago. It's definitely NOT just worth watching but for collection as well. Julie Christie,Donald Sutherland delivered a remarkable performance and as a married couple they gave the most flawless 'chemistry' ever captured on camera! A beautiful love tinged with sadness is depicted so incredibly amazing in this story(especially by christie, never seen a deeply emotional acting before her in this movie) A blend of psychological thriller, mystery and romance = the most captivating horror ever made! Plus TOP NOTCH cinematography - which successfully created a thrilling but beautiful atmosphere- perfectly well directing and a exquisitely written short story by daphne du demarier seriously makes this movie as masterpiece and a benchmark classic!
(note : don't ever miss the love scene and the twist at the end, sure thing those are the most unforgettable moments in history of cinema!).
