The whole movie, I was going "I don't know what the hell is going on, but something is definitely going on," and "What the hell?" Might have been the beer. However, the shocking ending ties everything together very nicely.

A film that is quite unsettling throughout, creating an atmosphere of tension. It touches on paranoia, predestination, psychics, murder, sex, religion, and faith. Set in the back alleys and side streets of Venice, filmmaker Roeg uses his camera effectively in every scene to create the kind atmosphere that leaves one puzzled and desiring a second showing after you're done.

Also, throughout this movie, I kept feeling like I was in a Stanley Kubrick film. Weird. But, it works.
