Review of Don't Look Now (1936) by Jon A — 29 Sep 2007
This move was not what it was hyped to be. Surreal, very much so. Erotic, definitely. Scary, hardly. Maybe I just need a whole lot more to scare me, but this movie was a yawn. The concept was neat, but poorly executed.
Donald Sutherland, one of my favorite actors, was not overwhelmingly convincing. Julie Christie did a great job, though. The ending was good, and I only had figured out some of it. I want to read Daphne du Maurier's short story and see how it compares.
Though I am now wary of anything in a red coat.
