Fantastic editing and story that is strung together by visual red herrings (excuse the pun) and symbolic triggers. Great lighting and perfect location create an ominous Venice, the environmental contradictions of bustling silence and buildings on water constantly harping back to the plot's tragedy.
Very deep and heavily layered, this is a well textured masterpiece.
