Review of Don't Look in the Basement (1973) by Michael F — 19 Mar 2008
Don't Look in the Basement is a superb late-night grindhouse viewing experience, with the appeal of an early John Waters film (think Female Trouble with ax chopping, eye gouging, and the like). See what happens when psychos take over a rural loony bin! With its sitar-infused soundtrack, shoddy editing, cadre of extreme character actors, and bloody finale, this is an essential title for camp freaks.
You'll never look at a popsicle in quite the same way again!
