Review of Don't Knock Twice (2017) by S1R-R34L — 09 Apr 2017
I really enjoyed this film, though I have to admit I am a Katee Sackhoff fan so that didn't hurt. I am also a sucker for a good ghost story, of which there aren't that many. This story actually offers a couple of fresh takes on the sub-genre that I liked.
The director even managed to create and sustain tension and suspense, which is always a plus. He also, at least in the first half, did some pretty decent camera segues, adding a soft artistic feel. Shame he didn't do this for the entire film.
The only thing that irked me was the double knocks. Okay, the title is Don't Knock TWICE, but really, how many people do you know that only... knock... knock... I don't know anybody. So anybody and everybody in this film only knocks twice, this is more of a Directorial thing as it allows him to mould tensity out of the action.
.. who can be at the door?... But that was the only thing. Worth a watch on Fright Night Friday.
