Review of Don't Go in the House (1979) by Mike G — 31 Mar 2008
Good n creepy n sleazy late 70s/early 80s horror flick. Gets points for intelligent look at how childhood abuse leads to insanity and murder. Quentin Tarantino said it was one of the most shocking films he's ever seen.
Its quite disturbing and creepy to my eyes, but doesn't quite hit the high (or low) water mark that "Maniac" did, as far as early 80s sleaze goes. Admirable special effects and an excellent portrait of a tortured sicko make this one a keeper.
