Review of Don't Breathe (2016) by Nick S — 29 Apr 2017
Not perfect, but oh man does this movie attack you. The artistic almost painterly cinematography is arresting. and the performances by Levy and Minnette (13 Reasons Why) are what make the movie. The antagonist and his backstory are contrived but the pace and tension allow you to forgive those plot devices.
The end is a bit 'tie it up in a bow' but nonetheless leaves you with an uncomfortable itch at the back of your neck.
