Review of Don't Breathe (2016) by Gwendolyn H — 16 Sep 2016

I will not give it five stars because I happen to work with the blind and yes, the events in this movie could have happened. But not plausibily. The idea of carrying a gun and being blind has been done and re-done in theaters and television and I think the guy would be more scary if he gained the characters trust and then stabbed them from behind.

Another thing, for a blind guy, he gets around fast. And yes, I know that it is his house. But the premise of the whole movie is that a veteran who became blind by a grenade would still be a warrior at heart.

If I really get into a movie, the premise has to be plausible. Otherwise, beyond the issues of the this plot, the action and cinematography were top rate and I was not disappointed with the movie.
